Temp of the Month – February 2023

Temp of the Month February 2023

Simon is our Temp of the Month!

February’s award goes to Simon.

I was delighted to receive Simon’s nomination for our Temp of the Month award.

Simon came to us looking for some temping work to fit around his other work commitments. Because of his excellent work ethic, I have sent him on several bookings with different clients. This is his second year back with his current employer and they highlighted Simon for Temp of the Month for always going the extra mile.

“Driving the van is not only an important and responsible job getting high value orders out to customers, but in doing so he is very much the ‘face’ of the company. Nothing is difficult for him; he is always cheerful and simply gets on with it. He is often back late in the evening too.”

Simon has been a fantastic ambassador for the Octopus temp team, and I would never hesitate to send him to any of our clients.

Congratulations Simon and thank you for all your super work.

Could you be the next Temp of the Month?

We are extremely proud of our temporary workers, all of whom we expect to be hardworking and reliable. Each month we invite our clients and staff in the office to nominate any temp who has gone above and beyond or exceeded their expectations in some way. Out of these, we choose one winner, giving them £20 worth of vouchers to recognise their contribution and say thank you!

We publish our winners in the office, on social media and here.

About the author

I’m on hand for our industrial and hospitality recruitment here at Octopus – think warehousing, production, construction, kitchen and technical type jobs. I also run our seasonal event work – this is a great option for those wanting to earn some extra money without commitment.

I really enjoy meeting our job hunters and helping them to find work. It’s been lovely to talk to local people and find out what matters to them.
