As a Purchasing Assistant you will be undertaking a range of purchasing administrative tasks to support a busy purchasing department in their day-to-day activities.
On a day-to-day basis, you will manage and check delivery notes, assist with making delivery bookings, check order confirmations against orders, resolve order and supplier issues efficiently; you will update sales and warehouse staff on the stock levels; and create and maintain a variety of purchasing-related reports.
You will need a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills with the ability to converse with a variety of people at different levels and the ability to work with minimal supervision. You will possess a strong level of IT skills and a good telephone manner.
