He is reliable, always on time, dependable and super polite – all the best qualities when we’re looking for temps for our clients. I know I can call him when last minute assignments come in as he always steps in and does a great job.

I am delighted to announce that our Octopus Temp of the Month for April is Ronel.

Our Temp of the Month for April was an easy decision. Ronel had only been working for our client for a few weeks when they said they wanted to keep her and referred to her as a “godsend”. Such lovely feedback for Ronel and we love her just as much. When asking the team around the office, they replied that she is such a nice, positive person. When advertising, we often ask for people with a “can-do” attitude and Ronel has it in spades.

Jacob is our Temp of the Month!

March’s award goes to Jacob.

 

I am delighted to announce that our Octopus Temp of the Month for March is Jacob.

Jacob started working for us last September. He came to us without any work experience but with a willingness to try anything and work hard. Jacob has since worked for several of our clients on various assignments, from warehouse, production and hospitality and has been a real star in each and every placement. We always get great feedback about Jacob and it has given me confidence to recommend him to new clients. Jacob is now relocating for a permanent job and while I’m going to miss him greatly, I am so proud to have worked with him and see his confidence grow.

Eliza started working for our client last November, and has been studiously making a name for herself in the business. Eliza has been working outside in all weathers and is happy to do whatever is needed of her. She has been a real asset to our client through COVID absences and has gone out of her way to help out. 10 things I love about temping

Temping is great. Yes, I know I’m going to say that as it’s my job but there are so many reasons why choosing to temp is a great work solution for so many people. For some it’s a way to fit work around their lives. For others it’s a stop gap while they look for a permanent job.

Many employers choose to use temporary workers through an agency. Temporary workers help employers to respond to changing customer demand or to help them deliver a project on time.

There are different ways to temp. You can pick and choose different shifts or events to earn some extra money when you need it. You can pick up a short-term temping assignment that can last anything from a couple days to a few months without committing to a permanent contract. We also have ongoing assignments that can last several months. Whatever your reason, temping can provide you a great way of working around your personal circumstances.
